Ok, so I haven't bloged for awhile. Life is busy and I just didn't get to it. Today was my favorite day of the month and the real "MOTHERS DAY". Yes.... it was quilt group! I finished two quilts for show-n-tell and it feels so good to get things done and out of the closet. So here are my quilts. The Pinwheel quilt was hand appliqued and one I have been working on for about a year now. It is a great pattern to drag around to all those appointments that we all have to go to. Applique is relaxing to me and gives a great curve to quilts that you just can't get otherwise.
This next little table topper is a pattern by Miss Rosie. It was so fun and quick to make except that I did make a big boo boo. Can you see it?
Yup . . . I spotted it! But how fun! That is a great character trait, you know--seeing our weaknesses and proudly showing them off in style. Besides when you churn out as many projects as you do, you're allowed a couple of beautiful mistakes!

When Navajos weave their rugs, they purposely make a mistake, so the evil spirits can get out.
I found the boo boo, but the quilt's so cute . . . who cares?
I love the piano key borders on both quilts.
And the bright colors.
I need to branch out colorwise.
Thanks for the l o n g time ago invitation.
I need to remember to talk to my mom about it, but I think your mom's leaving town for the summer soon, isn't she?
How was your phone call yesterday???

I spotted it, but only after looking!!! I wouldn't have noticed it at all otherwise!
I love them BOTH! But especially the pinwheels!

I spotted it too but like Linds said, never would have noticed if you hadn't said something! I bet you wanted to kick yourself when you found it! Oh well I think it adds character! I think both quilts are some of my favorites you've ever made! They are so dang cute and I can't wait to see them in person!
