I realized the other day that I don't post much about my daughter Heather. I guess it's because she is 24 years old and doesn't have the school, sports and social activities going on that my boys do. A few weeks ago a very special opportunity was presented to Heather. She was called to a service mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. This is a little different from the mission my son is serving right now in Portland Oregon. Weston has left home for two years and his contact with us is limited to weekly letters, and two phone calls a year. (yes it's hard)! Weston is also teaching people about our church. Heather will live here at home, work two days a week at the local humanitarian center, and serve for 1 year. I am so proud of her. She has a few reservations about the mission but I know she will be an asset and a great help in preparing humanitarian aid for people all over the world. Some of the things she does are, assembling hygiene kits, newborn kits, and school bags. Her favorite service is making hats. She works on them at home while she watches tv. She is getting so fast and has made some really cute ones.
